IOFAR (Indian Ophthalmology Fellowships and Reviews) began as a whatsapp group founded by Dr Vaishu Varghese in April 2025.

At first, it was a collection of reviews of random fellowship programs across India.

But then the reviews grew and the group expanded and finding specific info within the group became increasingly difficult.

It became clear these reviews needed a new home- one where they could be organised and better accessible.

And that's how IOFAR evolved into a website.

IOFAR was created to make information about Ophthalmology fellowships easier to find and easier to evaluate.

The reviews on IOFAR are based on direct conversations with fellows and residents and reflect their individual experiences and opinions.

New reviews, fellowship openings and insight posts keep getting added on IOFAR... but not on any fixed schedule.

If you're not checking regularly, it's easy to miss something important.

Drop your email and we'll let you know every time new stuff comes up.
Just updates. No spam (we hate it too).
